SAFETY AWARENESS
How many of us have ever ventured onto the NTSB's accident summary website to
read about the mistakes that have caused folks grief ? I have and I still go
there from time to time to get a glimpse of how our general aviation fleet is
shrinking and the causes for its current condition !
The website I speak of is
www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/query.asp . This site provides for
access to quite a comprehensive data base of aviation accidents with FAA / NTSB
preliminary and final reports that tell, in detail, facts about any particular
accident of record. You can pick virtually any month and read from any of the
reports that are posted there.
Take a look and see if you too might be able to learn from other's mistakes.
